Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews is one of four (very brave) celebrities who have been named for next year’s series of The Jump.
Matthews, who also briefly appeared in I’m a Celebrity… last year, will be joined by former international rugby players Jason Robinson and Gareth Thomas as well as model Caprice Bourret on next year’s show.
Further names will be added to the list, but the (lucky?) quartet will be pleased to note that Channel 4 has engaged in what it calls a “thorough review of safety standards” following the last series when a number of the contestants were injured.
Rebecca Adlington, Heather Mills, Beth Tweddle, Tina Hobley and Tom Parker were all hospitalised, and many people were surprised to see the skiing competition renewed for 2017 – host Davina McCall among them.
“I was amazed [it was renewed] because I didn’t think we’d be able to get people back on it,” she said. “But apparently people still want to do the show which is great. They’re amazing.”
Once again the series will be filmed in Austria and air over six weeks, with McCall (below) returning to the helm.
