The cell phone rules at Luke’s Diner are even stricter in the Gilmore Girls revival

Luke's only nod to 2016 is a ban on man-buns and a rule against taking pictures of your food

It is a very well-known fact that Luke Danes will not stand for cell phones in his diner. Every time Lorelei Gilmore whips out her noughties flip-phone, Luke starts hovering around her with his jug of coffee, pointing at the door.

But time does not stand still, even in Stars Hollow – and Luke (played by Scott Patterson) has had to move with the times. 

Not by allowing smartphones into his diner, of course. In fact, Luke has just added an extra sign, reading: “No MAN BUNS! No taking pictures of food. No headphones. If I can hear your music through your headphones, WHY ARE YOU WEARING HEADPHONES?”
