When is I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2016 on TV?

Everything you need to know ahead of ITV's return to the jungle...

Everyone needs a dose of Australian sunshine in the depths of the British winter (especially Ant and Dec) and 2016 will be no different to any other year of the past decade or so as ITV’s ever-popular celebrity endurance test returns with a 16th series and a whole new cast of famous campmates.

When is I’m A Celebrity returning to TV?

An exact air date will be announced by ITV closer to transmission, but in previous years the show has begun on a Sunday in the middle of November. Looking at the 2016 calendar it looks likely ITV will plump for either Sunday November 13th or Sunday November 20th to launch the new series.

Who will make up the cast of campmates in 2016?

The cast of the show is not announced until shortly before transmission on ITV, but through a mixture of tabloid investigations and celebrity slip ups on social media, we usually find out a few of the names in advance.

Here’s some of the most rumoured names this year for you to peruse whilst you wait for the full announcement…

Where is I’m A Celebrity filmed?

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is made on location in Qyeensland Australia. It’s filmed in a specially made outdoor camp on the edge of an area of sub-tropical rain forest extending across the Numinbah Nature Reserve and Springbrook National Park.

Will the show be back in 2017?

Yes. ITV signed up I’m A Celebrity for another three years in 2014, meaning there will definitely be at least another series of the show after this one. However, with the show remaining extremely popular amongst audiences and Ant and Dec looking like they’re staying at ITV it seem likely there’s even more years left in the format.
