Emmerdale star Laura Norton has promised fans that they’ll be on the edge of their seats during the soap’s huge October thriller week.
“I know all about the twists and everyone is going to be shocked,” the actress told RadioTimes.com on the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards. “The viewers will be shouting ‘oh my god’ at their screens. There’s shock after shock.”
Emmerdale recently teased the pivotal upcoming episodes with an eerie trailer which promised that at least one character will be “taking their last dance”.
But fans of Norton’s character Kerry can rest easy – she’s recently signed a contract that will take her up to July 2017:
“I love it here. I’ve got until next July and I would stay as long as they’ll have me. I love the character,’ she commented.
Kerry’s current storyline will see her relationship with Dan put in jeopardy after he discovers that she’s had a termination in the wake of a one-night stand with Ross that left her pregnant.
And it seems that Kerry is set to go off the rails following the bust-up with Dan: This storyline with Kerry and Dan is ongoing until early March. So, it’s not over. The wheels come off for Kerry and it’s all going to go horribly wrong before it gets better.
“The stuff I’ve been filming these last two weeks has been great. It’s classic Kerry – she’s at her worst but hilarious at the same time. It’s not just grim, she’s actually being ridiculous.”
