So, pastry week. We saw flaky tasty Danish pastries, numerous questionable Bakewell tarts and some very impressive filo showstoppers. But while Candice took the star baker award for the second time, all eyes were on 66-year-old Val Stones, the fifth baker to leave the tent.
In fact, throughout the episode Val won over everyone on twitter.

Why? Well, throughout the episode, she served up some classic Bake Off moments. From her pastry flossing….

In fact, many think her performance called for a new Bake Off spin-off show.
Petition to give val her own reality/baking show. I think this is all what we need #GBBO

And her final departure from the tent brought a tear to the nation’s eye, especially when she said “whenever I make anything, I stir love into it, I knead love into it. So when I present it, it’s special”.
I cried when Val said she puts love into her bakes. Let's all put love into things we do.
I like love so much. #GBBO
