It’s not often the worlds of X Factor and Game of Thrones collide (although here’s betting Simon Cowell would like an Iron Throne) but this year it’s happening: Emilia Clarke’s Game of Thrones body double is auditioning.
Yes, 19-year-old Rosie Mac turned Daenerys Targaryen in the fifth series of the HBO mega drama and now she has ambitions of winning the X Factor.
The model has said she won’t be back for series 6 of the mega drama, prompting speculation around the longevity of the popular character. But Mac told the Daily Express: “I was only contracted to do the show for six weeks during season five while they were filming in Spain and I fulfilled my contract.”
We’re told she performs Roger Whittaker’s Streets of London for the judges.
Update: Rosie’s audition was cut from footage because of time restrictions, but she earned four yeses from the judges so we may see her as the competition progresses.
The X Factor continues Sunday at 8:00pm on ITV
