Making history by winning four gold medals for Team England at the Commonwealth Games.
Who is Claudia Fragapane?
Claudia’s first title taste of success came back in 2011 when she picked up a bronze medal for the vault at the Junior British Championships. But it was 2014 when she made her name on the global stage, beginning with a team silver medal at the European Championships and followed by a historic success at the Commonwealth Games where she won four gold medals for Team England, including the all-around title.

Since then she’s continued to make the podium in international competitions, landing a floor silver at the 2015 European Championships and a team bronze at the World Championships later that year.
Claudia is strong across all disciplines – earlier this year she won all-around gold at the British Championships – but look out for her in particular in the floor and vault competitions where she excels.
She’ll compete with Amy Tinkler, Ruby Harrold and sisters Rebecca and Ellie Downie in the team all-around event (Finals on 9th August, 8pm) where the British women stand a real chance of a medal. Her other events include uneven bars, beam, vault, floor exercise and individual all-around – all beginning on Sunday 7th August.
“I love competing for GB just because of all the support I get and that massive feeling when you’ve landed your last tumble or last piece and the crowd goes wild.”
