Celebrity Big Brother 2016 – who’s going into the house?

Who's rumoured and what are they saying? As the CBB rumour mill speeds up, here are the latest reports...

As a new series of Celebrity Big Brother beckons, rumours are flying about the new batch of celebrity housemates. From pop stars to reality show favourites to viral sensations, here’s who could be packing their bags for a very strange sort of holiday…

Sam Fox

Glamour model Sam is rumoured by The Sun to have accepted a six-figure sum to take her place in the CBB house. The 50-year-old former Page 3 girl has spent her career combining modelling with singing and continues to tour around the world. She’s no stranger to reality TV either, appearing on I’m a Celebrity in 2009 as well as Come Dine with Me and Celebrity Wife Swap. Sam came out as gay in 2003 and was in a relationship with her manager Myra Stratton until the latter’s death from cancer in 2015. CBB bosses have reportedly spent years trying to sign her up – it appears they’ve finally got their wish.

Christopher Biggins

Big Brother’s behind you! Or is he? Biggins is no stranger to celebrity contests with stints on Come Dine With Me and MasterChef to his name (oh, and y’know, that winning stint on I’m A Celeb back in 2007) but now The Sun reports that he could add CBB to the CV. Rumour has it Biggins has been offered up to £150,000 to appear this year. That would make him one of the highest paid stars of the show ever. Biggins is a well loved figure in UK households, so we’re sure he’d have no trouble keeping the young’uns in check.

Lewis Bloor

TOWIE boy Bloor is said to be the CBB producers’ choice to “sex up” the house this time around. At least that’s what The Daily Star reports. The Essex Casanova is said to be the ideal housemate because he’s got both “the looks and the personality” and won’t be afraid to have an argy bargy with his fellow celebs. He’s already taken to Twitter to say he’s en route to London, but could that be for CBB?

We’ll have to wait and see…

Sarah Harding

The former Girls Aloud singer is very much wanted by CBB for the house, according to The Sun. “They are convinced she will be TV gold…she is incredibly tempted, but she’s a sensitive character and spending all that time in the mad house that is Big Brother might just be a bit too much for her,” said a source. It’s looking fairly unlikely, though, with her spokesperson telling OK! that she’d been made the offer but wasn’t going to do it. Then again, if she was “incredibly tempted” maybe she’ll change her mind…

Chloe Mafia

The X Factor’s Chloe Mafia caused a stir with her alleged hardcore partying before her bungled boot camp audition – and now she’s set to take her place in the CBB house.  According to The Sun Online, an insider said: “Chloe was one of the X Factor’s most controversial ever contestants when she appeared on the show, but when she was booted off people thought she would just fade away.

“In fact she went out to the US and made an absolute fortune. She has become a bit of a star on the last few years and CBB has to fork out a lot of money to get her in the house.” And Chloe is already well versed in reality TV, having also appeared on a rather memorable episode of Snog Marry Avoid…

Ryan Ruckledge

Another X Factor contestant with a love of partying, Ryan Ruckledge, is rumoured to be going into the house. The Sun reports that Ruckledge, who made it to Boot Camp on The X Factor last year but was eliminated by the judges after Simon Cowell criticised him for drinking and partying when he should have been rehearsing, is being offered a CBB place. With Chloe Mafia beside him, imagine the carnage…
