First look inside Clarkson, Hammond and May’s Grand Tour “tented” studio

The trio have been filming their first segment in front of a live audience in South Africa

Former Top Gear trio Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have unveiled first-look images of the studio set for their new Amazon Prime series The Grand Tour, and it’s safe to say that it’s pretty intense.

Sorry, wrong spelling – we meant to say it’s pretty in tents, with the series’ interior segments taking place entirely in a stylish canvas studio that can be pitched wherever in the world the three fancy (in the first episode’s case, Johannesburg) and looks quite impressive now that we’ve had a proper look at it.

And it certainly seems like the three boys had a nice time under canvas.

We can only hope this camping trip goes a little better than their last one…

The Grand Tour will be released on Amazon Prime this autumn
