It’s here: the big Malin v Terry showdown.
Oh yes indeedy, grab the popcorn because Malin’s back to settle a score and call Terry out on the fact that he has been cheating on her with Emma-Jane since she left the villa. On telly. And it hasn’t just been hand holding, that’s for sure.
Terry was merrily having a beer on a ‘man date’ with Scott, who promptly spits his beer out at the sight of Malin.
But when Malin says what she wants to say, Terry’s not impressed, branding her “spiteful” and “bitter”.
Malin starts strong, revealing: “I’ve been watching everything.”
But she doesn’t seem to get the apologies – or sign of guilt – she was hoping for.
“Yeah, but I said it was a test for me, didn’t I? I didn’t say to you I was 100% going to be with you,” Terry says.
Objecting, Malin tells him: “Terry, we were together in that villa. I left that villa as a couple with you; we were official in there. You were my boyfriend. I came out of there supporting you. I know you didn’t come out, but I thought ‘I’m going to support him, he’s having a good experience with the lads’. Then a day later you’re hooked up. You were wanting to come out of there with me!?”
He’s not backing down either: “I know I was, but then I had to reflect on things. I spoke to the boys and at the end of the day; it was still my time in there. I can’t just walk like everyone else. Analysing stuff on the two days I was on my own, it weren’t gonna go anywhere. You know what you was like, you was creating rows.”
Has this gone wrong for Malin?
“You said you were going to dump me a few days before? You said ‘I was gonna dump her anyway’. No you were not,” Malin insists. “You led me on the whole time we were in there; you were playing a massive game Terry. Everyone can see it. Your little girl Emma’s playing a game too. You’re muggy as f***. I can see everything.”
It seems Terry can’t quite be bothered to fight, simply replying: “Alright, alright.” She tries to get more out of him, but it doesn’t work.
“No, I tried with you but your possessiveness… everyone can see it Malin, the rows you’ve created.”
“I did not create any rows. You and your cheese toastie? Your t-shirt argument? Ridiculous. You cheated on me in there. You’ve cheated on me and made me look like a mug and disrespected me completely,” Malin finishes.
But while it seems like Malin hasn’t quite got the reaction she wants, when Terry returns to the villa, it’s clear she’s made an impact.
“She’s spiteful. I don’t wanna talk to anyone about it. I’m just p***ed off. Don’t, because I’ll get the hump. I don’t even want to be around anyone mate. I just want to be on my own for a minute,” Terry admits.
Reflecting in the Beach Hut, it’s clear his ex has got under his skin: “Well done, Malin. You’ve certainly got in my head about what’s going on outside so congratulations if that’s what you wanted to come here and do. She deserves a gold star.”
“You can’t just stop caring about someone,” he continues. “I had a great time with her; I’m not doubting that. It’s just that we weren’t meant to be as a couple. That’s why it’s such a shame it went the way it did. I can’t change Malin’s opinion of me now, it’s too late. I just hope she understands why I’m doing what I am.”
Explaining it to Nathan later he adds: “She was so spiteful bruv. What you going to gain from coming here? I couldn’t pick up the phone, I couldn’t ring you up. I was honest; I said it weren’t going to work. She didn’t like hearing it, she’s bitter about Emma. She was just throwing loads of stuff at me.”
“I told her I was having a better time with Emma than I did with her. She started getting nasty so I thought ‘I’m not going to sit here and take your s***’. I accept it weren’t the right way to go about things but it was out of my hands.”
Phew. Can they turn the jacuzzi to cool and let him hop in?
