Love Island’s Cara tells Nathan she loves him

Cara goes all a bit Simon Cowell as she says she doesn't just like Nathan, she loves him

Love Island’s Cara has told Nathan that she loves him.

She actually goes a bit Simon Cowell with it, telling Nathan: “Do you know what? I don’t like you… I love you.”

It’s during a challenge that sees the boys talk the girls through building a flat-pack bed and the message seems to go down well with Nathan:

“Oh! Cara just said the L word! Cara just said that she loves me! Did everyone get that? Oh my god, are you serious? That’s done something to my whole heart! You said the L word!”

The cynics may wonder if it’s just for votes. The final is inching closer after all and there’s £50,000 up for grabs. But it did something to his “whole heart”. And they’re ‘totes offish’ boyfriend/girlfriend and all that. So maybe this is the real deal, folks. Just as long as he doesn’t try and propose. That didn’t work out all that well last year, did it?

Meanwhile, as it’s Nathan’s birthday the villa has a party (children’s theme, no less) and the birthday boy gets a message from his sister. She’s chuffed with Cara, but isn’t quite so sure about them having sex on TV. Is Nathan worried about offending his parents? Errr… no.

“I caught them both at it so it’s payback!” he laughs.

Love Island continues tonight at 9:00pm on ITV
