This video might help you get used to the confusing new Top Gear celebrity rally track

New series, new circuit – Chris Harris introduces the new Star in a Rallycross Car track with virtual reality video

Amid all the hoo-hah over the new Top Gear, we hardly had time to process the new celebrity Star in a Rallycross Car challenge.

Changing the track has made it quite confusing for fans familiar with the old circuit layout, but if this is going to be the way celebs prove their racing ability, then we better get clued up.

Enter presenter Chris Harris, who didn’t make an appearance with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc in the first episode of Top Gear, but has been taking a closer look at the new celebrity lap.

In the new 360 degree video, he drives the course, explaining the changes and helping us make sure we don’t lose our way like Captain Slow (sorry, old show joke).

Have to admit, from this angle the water splash does look pretty cool. Still probably not enough to win over fuming Clarkson fans on Twitter, but at least it’s something to work with.

Top Gear continues next Sunday at 8pm on BBC2
