Gordon Ramsay and Jesse Eisenberg confirmed as Top Gear’s first studio guests

The chef and actor will be burning rubber in the opening episode of Chris Evans's revamped car show – but will they be Stars in Reasonably Priced Cars?

Top Gear races towards its relaunch, and now we know who Chris Evans’s very first studio guests will be.

Chef Gordon Ramsay and Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg will feature in the opening episode, set to air on Sunday 29th May. It’s not yet clear whether this will be a classic Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment or something new.

As well as the confirmed guests, we understand the first episode will feature that much-plugged race to Blackpool between Evans and co-host Matt LeBlanc.

There will also be a tribute to the movie Top Gun, 30 years old this year: Evans will head to Nevada to drive a 645bhp Dodge Viper ACR against a Chevy Corvette Z06 driven by presenter Sabine Schmitz.

Finally, LeBlanc will bring a film from Morocco featuring the Ariel Nomad – a car made by the same company that did this to Jeremy Clarkson’s face.
