When Carrie Fisher acted alongside David Prowse in the original Star Wars trilogy, he didn’t have the Darth Vader voice we’ve all come to know. That, of course, is the voice of James Earl Jones.
Instead, while acting with Vader, Ms Fisher heard Prowse’s own West Country accent. So, to make her feel like she was right back at the beginning of her Princess Leia adventure, chat show host Jonathan Ross asked Bristol-born Russell Howard to step up and read Vader’s lines in a scene with her.
Fisher’s dog Gary certainly seemed to approve:
