Will Smith’s latest feature film has found a home on Netflix.
Bright, described as a “scripted cop thriller with fantastical elements”, will land exclusively on the streaming service, reports Deadline. Though there could also be a limited theatrical launch.
It’s a major coup for the service, who reportedly beat Warner Bros to the rights by paying upwards of $90 million.
The Los Angeles-set police thriller will see Smith reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer, while Victor Frankenstein writer Max Landis will pen the script. Joel Edgerton will also star.
Bright is tipped to start filming later this year.
