Star Wars creators reveal incredible Force Awakens concept art

Visual effects company ILM publish 45 special pre-production artworks featuring the Millennium Falcon, folding TIE Fighters and much more

The visual effects team behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens have revealed 45 incredible pieces of concept art they created before the film went into production. And what Industrial Light & Magic conjured up was truly amazing.

Here are just a few of the stunning images…

“Each artist began to explore his individual response, and collectively, we began to answer, with our words and art,” said Rick Carter, co-production designer. “Out of our brainstorming sessions emerged visual imagery of where we might want to go and what it would look like when we got there.

Amongst the other designs that caught our eye was a design for folding TIE Fighter wings, and a shot of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker complete with impressive top knot.
