What did you do this rainy Saturday morning? Sit in bed watching YouTube videos? Scoff down a fry up? Oh, you’ve just woken up? Best to look away now then. You’re about to feel VERY inactive because Greg James has been doing some pretty awesome things for Sport Relief.
The Radio 1 DJ completed his “Gregathlon” challenge yesterday afternoon. What’s a Gregathlon, we hear you ask. It’s five triathlons in five days in five cities (Norwich, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast) – a feat that has raised more than £800,000 and counting for Sport Relief.
Speaking on the finish line, surrounded by crowds of supporters, James fought back tears to tell his listeners: “Thanks everybody for all your support. It’s been the most ridiculous week ever. I’ve learnt so much about myself, everyone coming together and everyone being a team.”
To support Greg, donate £3 to Sport Relief by texting GREG to 70703 – it costs £3 plus your standard network message rate.
In the meantime, we hope he’s enjoying a well deserved lie-in this morning.
