The end of the world is nigh, folks. Or at least, according to Ghostbusters II.
For those of you who’ve cast this sequel to the depths of your memory, here’s a refresher.
Way back in 1989, the genius minds of Harold Ramis and Dan Ackroyd conjured the not-so-genius Ghostbusters II. The film included one particular scene where Bill Murray’s Dr. Peter Venkman invites a woman onto his talk show, The World of the Psychic.
Venkman’s guest has some bad news to impart – our world will come to an end on Valentine’s Day 2016. Not because you’ve failed to get a date and are facing an evening of Netflix and no chill. No, because an alien beckoned her into a Holiday Inn and and told her so. Naturally.
Of course, if the world ends tomorrow we’ll never get the chance to see Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot. Let’s all clutch our teddy bears and heart-shaped lollies and hope that doesn’t happen.
