Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day – they’ve all had the ensemble rom-com treatment. Now it’s Mother’s Day’s turn.
And it’s a seriously star-studded one. Not only does the upcoming flick see Julia Roberts reunite with her Pretty Woman director Garry Marshall, it also stars the likes of Friends alumnus Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis.
Britt Robertson, Timothy Olyphant, Sarah Chalke and Shay Mitchell can also be seen in this two-minute first-look trailer. Even British comedian Jack Whitehall makes an appearance.
Mother’s Day sees Roberts play Miranda a successful television host; Aniston is Sandy, a recently divorced mum looking for love; and Hudson is Jesse, a woman who needs to strengthen her relationship with her own mother. Sukeikis plays “Mr Mom” Bradley, while Robertson stars as a young woman called Kristen who was adopted and has never met her mum.
Mother’s Day is set to hit UK cinemas on 17th June, which is a little late if you were planning on treating your own mum to a cinema trip on the big day.
Mothering Sunday is actually 6th March, so best make a note in your diary. You can thank us later…
