Lego and Star Wars are probably two of the most beloved things on the planet – so when you combine them, things start to get very exciting.
That’s probably why we’re so excited to hear that a Lego Star Wars TV series is winging its way to Disney XD this coming summer.
Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures promises all the usual tongue in cheek humour we’ve come to expect from Lego video games, plus plenty of intergalactic fun. Set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi, the series follows a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy.
They’re just going about their business when their youngest child discovers “a natural connection with the Force” through an ancient artefact called the Kyber Saber. And it’s not long before his world is turned upside down as he and his family are thrown into “an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy”.
Sounds almost as challenging as finding an elusive missing Lego brick.
