New Top Gear presenter Matt LeBlanc finds time to star in US comedy pilot

The Friends star is taking the lead in I'm Not Your Friend

He hit the headlines when Chris Evans announced he’d be joining the Top Gear line-up last week but Matt LeBlanc may not have much time for cars if his latest comedy venture is a success.

Variety reports that the Friends star is taking the lead in a new CBS comedy pilot and if it’s picked up, he’ll certainly be kept busy.

The aptly titled I’m Not Your Friend (geddit?) sees LeBlanc starring as a contractor who takes over the responsibility of raising his kids when his wife goes back to work. And, of course, he learns that there’s a LOT more to it than he expected.

It’s a bit of a no-brainer for the actor, who’s had great success with Episodes but would probably rather forget Friends spin-off Joey ever happened. You see, according to Variety, he’s signed up with a ‘series commitment’, meaning that if the show ISN’T picked up for a full run, he’ll still get quite a bit of cash.

More than enough to pick up a reasonably priced car, some might assume.
