2016 kicked off with a bang as bold and glamorous show Billions hit screens. Starring Golden Globe winners Paul Giamatti (Straight Outta Compton) and Damian Lewis (Homeland), the show garnered rave reviews and 6.5 million viewers across various platforms for its pilot – a new record for Showtime.
And now, after airing just two of the series’ 12 episodes, the US network have decided to give it a second run with Billions set to return to screens with a new batch of episodes next year.
For us UK viewers who’ve yet to see it, the drama is centred around aristocratic and driven U.S Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giametti) and Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis) a clever and calculating billionaire. A game of power politics begins as the story delves into the intricate world of ultra-wealth and not so exemplary influencial people.
Also starring Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad, Billions will air in the UK on Sky later this year.
