The Chase host Bradley Walsh finishes each ITV show by saying ‘Come and have a go if you think you’re clever enough’ and now that challenge has been put to Richard Osman, co-host of BBC quiz show rival Pointless.
Discussing which famous faces they’d like to nab for the celebrity versions, new chaser Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan raised the idea:
“I think we should get Richard Osman on,” she said as they celebrated scooping the gong for Best Daytime Show at last night’s National Television Awards after seeing off competition from the aforementioned Pointless, The Jeremy Kyle Show and The Paul O’Grady Show.
“Come on down,” concurred Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett. “He can even have his ear piece, we’ll still beat him,” he teased.
It’s playful banter between these two daytime titans though it seems.
“You’re only as good as your opposition – and they make us good,” Labbett said.
“All competition is good,” added Walsh, who’d also like to see singer Boy George take part. “He’s a big fan.”
The Chasers also dished on the fun they have as a team, who’s the most competitive and their award being “long overdue”. Check out the full video interview above.
