Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow’s Girls is set to end after its sixth series.
The award-winning HBO sitcom, which stars Dunham alongside Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet and Adam Driver, could finish after the next two seasons have aired, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dunham, who plays lead character Hannah Horvath, has previously said that she envisages ending the show after six series to avoid “running it into the ground”.
Series five of the show, which broke new ground in its portrayal of young women struggling to grow up, is to air this February.
