The time travel drama, set in Scotland, stormed the Sci-fi Show Champion competition back in November before entering the ‘champion of champions’ tournament where it faced Entertainment Show Champion Only Connect and then Children’s Show Champion Sarah and Duck on the way to the TV Show Champion Final.

That concluding clash of the TV titans saw Outlander up against NBC’s cancelled Hannibal, with the voting consistently incredibly tight thanks to a huge amount of support from both ‘Clan Outlander’ and ‘The Fannibals’.

The day was to be Outlander’s though, and the show ultimately achieved TV Show Champion glory in a competition that garnered more than 25 million votes, with more than 7 million votes in the final.
