I know, right? You’ve been a Star Wars fan all your life. You’ve been spreading the word for years, signing people up to the cause, and now that the new movie, The Force Awakens, is finally here you’ve already bought all the merchandise and been to see it twice. So how come you don’t get a thank you in the movie’s end credits but George Osborne does?!
Yep, the Chancellor gets a name check in the thank you section, along with Culture and Digital Economy Minister Ed Vaizey, after his new tax breaks for filmmakers helped bring The Force Awakens, and all the jobs and economic benefits that came with it, to the UK’s Pinewood Studios.
Good work, right? Perhaps your attitude towards him is softening? Or perhaps not…
I don't mind that George Osborne is mentioned in the Star Wars credits, I just wish they'd given him his full title of Sith Lord in waiting
