The tensions between the pair will reach breaking point over the festive season when Phil kidnaps baby Pearl.

Vincent and Kim’s daughter will become an unwitting pawn in the war between the two families in shock scenes to be broadcast on Monday 21 December.

The episode’s cliffhanger will see Phil barge his way into Vincent’s house, where Fatboy and Donna are babysitting the little girl. In a surprise move, the Mitchell hard man snatches Pearl and makes off with her.

In a retaliatory move, Vincent storms over to the Mitchells with a gun to try and end things once and for all. But how far will Vincent go to protect his family?

A spokesperson for EastEnders said: “With both sides playing a dangerous game, Phil and Vincent soon find themselves coming to blows. But as the feud reaches its dramatic climax, someone’s caught in the crossfire – will they live to tell the tale?”

As for what happens during the shock scenes, actor Richard Blackwood teased: “You’re going to be blown away.”

EastEnders has already promised that this Christmas will be one character’s last. So could it be someone in this room who meets their maker? Phil? Vincent? Kim? Or perhaps Ronnie? Tell us who you think it could be…
