Joseph Gordon-Levitt painted the town green as Yoda at the Star Wars premiere

The Walk actor dressed up as his favourite character to attend the LA premiere of The Force Awakens

At the premiere of the new Star Wars film The Force Awakens (you may have heard of it), actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt surprised fans by making an appearance – dressed as Yoda.

Complete with green face paint and costume, Gordon-Levitt certainly made a memorable entrance and posed for photos as the powerful Jedi Master.

He was not the only celebrity however to dress up for the occasion. The Office’s Rainn Wilson went as Obi-Wan Kenobi with his son Walter and Sofia Vergara sported buns in honour of Princess Leia.

Definitive proof that deep down they’re just as excited as the rest of us.

Star Wars The Force Awakens is released in UK cinemas on Thursday 17th December
