Morgan Freeman has said he’s safe and well after his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
The actor was being flown over Mississippi on Saturday, on his way to film National Geographic series The Story of God. A tyre had blown during take-off, forcing the pilot to land the plane 40 miles from its destination.
Freeman said in a statement, “Sometimes things don’t go as planned and a tyre blew on take-off, which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch.
“I cannot say the same about my plane. I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety.”
