It’s hard to think how the creations in The Great British Bake Off could get more impressive. These people make wildlife out of bread, for pete’s sake.
Still, apparently baking can rise even higher, as the BBC have announced a professional spin-off show.
Bake Off: Creme de la Creme will be presented by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge and shown on BBC Two next year. Rather than the individuals that compete in the original show, GBBO:CdlC will feature fifteen teams of professional chefs facing off for the title, with each team consisting of three members.
Judging them will be a coterie of masters: Benoit Blin from Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Cherish Finden from The Langham in London and Claire Clark, former pastry chef at the three Michelin starred restaurant The French Laundry.
