Harrison Ford is a proper Sherlock addict

The Star Wars actor and his wife Calista Flockhart can't stop watching Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in the BBC1 drama

Finally we know what Harrison Ford does whenever the Millennium Falcon is on autopilot: put his feet up and dig out the Sherlock box set.

The Star Wars actor is a massive fan of Benedict Cumberbatch’s BBC1 drama, according to his wife, Ally McBeal star and Supergirl actor Calista Flockhart.

“Right now, my son [Liam, 14], my husband [Harrison Ford] and I can’t stop watching Sherlock,” she told the latest issue of Radio Times. “It’s such a good show, although one of my all-time favourites is Downton Abbey. I love that show. I don’t want it to end.”

In fact, British telly is a pretty big deal in the Ford/Lockhart household: “As a family, we were very interested in Agatha Christie’s Poirot. In fact, we were slightly addicted to it and that segued into Sherlock,” she said.

It’s true: when Ford was on The Graham Norton Show in 2013, he came over all tongue-tied when Benedict Cumberbatch joined him on the sofa. Check out the fanboy reaction right here…

As for Flockhart, she’s just waiting for the final series of Downton Abbey to hit the US next January.

“I love Maggie Smith,” Flockhart said. “Thankfully, I have another season of Downton to go, so I’m not quite sad about the end yet. I’ve always liked Maggie – I can’t tell you how much I’m in love with her!”

Maybe once all this Star Wars kerfuffle is over she and Harrison can watch the final season together? #NoSpoilers.
