Fantastic Beasts will be most like Goblet of Fire, says producer of the Harry Potter prequel

"It's got the charm of the fourth,” David Heyman has said about the new JK Rowling film, which stars Eddie Redmayne as Newtscamander

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them producer David Heyman has said that the JK Rowling’s prequel, which stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, has a similar tone to the fourth Harry Potter film, Goblet of Fire.

“It’s got got the charm of the fourth,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s like the fourth. It has the romantic comedy, that fish-out-of-water humour, that very human, natural character comedy.”

Even though Goblet of Fire was directed by Mike Newell and it’s David Yates (who helmed the final four Harry Potter films) who is directing Fantastic Beasts, it’s Newell’s film that is most similar to the prequel.

“[Beasts} is very funny, it’s got a big heart, and there’s darkness too.”

The film is due to be released in November 2016.
