Returning to her period drama roots, complete with posh frock and tiara, here’s Lily James with her two War and Peace co-stars.

In the lavish new BBC1 drama, Paul Dano stars as Pierre, the educated misfit who inherits a fortune, with Lily James playing the sought-after heroine Natasha and James Norton as Prince Andrei, one of her suitors.
Also starring is Stephen Rea as Prince Vassily Kuragin and Adrian Edmondson and Greta Scacchi as Count and Countess Rostov.
The Tunnel’s Jack Lowden plays Nikolai Rostov, The Musketeers’ Tom Burke is Dolokhov, with Mr Selfridge’s Aisling Loftus cast as Sonya.
The six part series, directed by Tom Harper, will begin in January.
