I’m A Celeb’s Tony and Susannah pick teams for jungle rumble as battle begins Down Under

Ant and Dec tell the pair they're to become rival team leaders as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here 2015 kicks off

It’s that time of year again and as the celebrities prepare to drop into the I’m A Celeb jungle, Ant and Dec already have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Tonight’s first episode sees musician Tony Hadley and fashion expert Susannah Constantine arriving in a remote airfield in the Australian countryside just in time for a jungle twist.

And no, that’s not some ploy designed by ITV to cash in on Strictly’s toe-tapping success, though we wouldn’t mind seeing Ant and Dec bust a move every now and again – we’re ALWAYS ready to ‘rhumble’ guys. Just FYI.

Tony and Susannah (which wise guy in the i’m A Celeb office saw the puntastic headline potential in that one?) discover that they’ve been charged with the task of leading their fellow campmates as rival team leaders.

Insert Tony Hadley will go for ‘Gold’ joke here. Someone’s already done that? No! You can’t be serious?

“You two are now in direct competition with each one another.  You’ll go head to head in a series of challenges before you reach camp.  You won’t be doing it alone, you’ll do it in teams and right now is your chance to pick those teams”, Dec explains.

The pair are given just  moments to chose their unwitting squads, but there’s a twist. This ain’t X Factor, where you lay your polaroids on a table and take time to deliberate. In the jungle you get an LCD screen and have to listen to the celebs talk about themselves.

It’s all a bit like The Voice, innit? *cough*

The longer the captains wait, the more they’ll hear about their potential teammates, and the fastest finger on the buzzer claims the err, prize. If nobody likes the sound of the celeb they won’t press the button, and the celeb in question will be allocated to a team at the end of the game.

All’s fair in love and jungle warfare, right?

Between choreographer Brian Friedman, British boxing champion Chris Eubank, business entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne, Union J member George Shelley, actress Jorgie Porter, ex England footballer Kieron Dyer, author Lady Colin Campbell and TV presenter Yvette Fielding there are plenty of willing and able potential teammates to go around.

Don’t worry if you’re not sure who they all are – we’ve taken care of that for you here.

Susannah’s fairly fast off the mark for the Yellow Team, selecting Yvette, Chris, Brian and Duncan but Tony snaps Jorgie up for the Reds when the fashionista’s not fast enough.

And she’s a bit gutted to miss out on another camper too: “My daughter will kill me as she loves Union J”, she says when Hadley nabs George. It’s a clever move too y’know, because boyband members tend to fare well Down Under. Just ask King Matt, King Dougie or King Kian.

Anyway, the Spandau Ballet singer’s troop features Jorgie, George, Kieron, and Lady Colin Campbell, who’s allocated to him at the end of the round.

Whose team will prove indestructible at the Tree of Torment? And who’ll win a heart stopping skydiving head-to-head?

You’ll find out if you tune in tonight for about an hour and 50 minutes. As Tony himself might say, we know this much is true.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! starts on ITV on Sunday November 15th at 9pm
