Before this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2015 campmates are officially confirmed, spin-off hosts Laura Whitmore, Joe Swash and David Morgan have floated the idea of a diva-themed line-up.
“Cher, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Beverly Knight… all the divas,” the trio suggested.
Forget the trials – imagine the campfire sing-alongs!
“I’d just like the Chuckle Brothers,” Swash added as comedian Morgan (who this year replaces Rob Beckett who’s on tour) laughed: “Zac Efron – just for the shower…”
The presenters, who discuss the daily goings on of the campmates on ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here NOW! aren’t allowed to know the real line-up ahead of the show. But they do have a good idea about who their own guests are and say it’s helped their detective work.
“Our panellists might give away some people in the jungle,” teased Whitmore.
“We’ve got a wall with red tape, trying to figure it out,” Morgan laughed.
But they all admit they’re actually far more interested in the collective campmates, rather than “one big name”.
“It’s to do with the mix of people, the bonding,” Whitmore explained. “Joe was friends with George Takei [during the 2008 series which Swash won], last year Tinchy was friends with Michael Buerk. It’s who works with who.”
And they’re all for the late arrivals.
“Every year when someone’s gone in late it causes problems,” Swash said. “When you’re in there you make it your home, when someone else comes in late you treat them differently. It’s like, you’re coming into my house. In my year we had Timmy Mallet and David Van Day. They turned it upside down.”
“Christopher Biggins came in late and ended up winning. Jake Quickenden did really well,” Whitmore added of last year’s runner-up.
While we wait to find out if any of their dream contestants will make an appearance, here’s the rumoured names.
