Fans will have to wait a little longer for their trip back to Twin Peaks. The new series of David Lynch’s surreal soap opera was scheduled to be broadcast next year, but has now been pushed to 2017.
The news came in a conference call with CBS chief Leslie Moonves, Variety reports, with the hope that the show will attract customers to Showtime’s new streaming service.
The Twin Peaks follow up series went through a thoroughly reported rough patch earlier this year, with reports Lynch had pulled out. However, after a campaign by the cast, the director returned to the table.
