Crackanory has a history of enlisting the cream of British comedy to read us darkly funny bedtime stories, and the new series is no different.
Richard Ayoade, Jimmy Carr, Simon Bird, Greg Davies, Tamsin Greig, Morgana Robinson, Sarah Millican and Paul Whitehouse are all present and correct in this exclusive first look at the line-up – but the roll call also crosses over into the realms of cult TV and film, with even a few Hollywood stars in the mix…
Former Doctor Who companion Catherine Tate is a familiar face to both comedy and sci-fi fans, and Harry Potter aficionados will recognise Robbie Coltrane even without Hagrid’s shaggy beard and hair. Meanwhile, from across the pond, are Back to the Future’s Christopher ‘Doc Brown’ Lloyd and Star Wars’ own Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, who is set to return in The Force Awakens this Christmas.
They’ll each be reading one of Crackanory’s twisted tales – intercut with live action and occasionally animation – in series three, which kicks off on Monday 7th December at 10pm on Dave and runs every night that week at the same time until Saturday.
