Candy Crush co snapped up in sweet deal by Call of Duty makers

UK firm King Digital will be bought by US software company Activision Blizzard

Divine! King Digital, the UK mobile gaming company behind the more-addictive-than-chocolate Candy Crush Saga, has been snapped up by Activision Blizzard, the US firm that makes the less-sweet-and-more-shooty Call of Duty.

Activision revealed it had agreed a tasty 20% premium on King’s share price in a £3.8 billion deal and would keep the British company’s existing management team in place.

Sounds pretty sweet to us…
