BRAND: A SECOND COMING ★★★★

The like-or-loathe comedian Russell Brand is the subject of this new documentary, which tackles the question of whether his revolutionary rhetoric is sincere and timely or merely the latest in a line of look-at-me stunts. Fans will already know the answer; so too will detractors.

MISSISSIPPI GRIND ★★★★

Ben Mendelsohn and Ryan Reynolds team up in this meandering and amusing buddy movie about a hopeless gambling addict who befriends a poker pro and sets off to settle his debts with a make-or-break gamble in New Orleans.

LISTEN TO ME MARLON ★★★★

Documentary about Marlon Brando constructed around numerous audio tapes recorded by the man himself. It’s Brando on Brando, a fantastic actor with a fascinating story.
