Harry Potter to get its own TV channel…

Sky Movies Harry Potter will broadcast for a week in the UK and feature extended versions of the Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets plus behind the scenes specials and interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint

Have you ever dreamt of a world where Muggles and magicians can unite around a television channel dedicated to nothing but their favourite film series? Well later this month, that dream will become a reality (for a short time) when Sky Movies Harry Potter launches in the UK.

The satellite channel will broadcast for one week only from 24th October to 2nd November and promises to feature a smorgasbord of Hogwarts-related fun including all the Potter films, UK television exclusive extended versions of The Philosopher’s Stone and The Chamber of Secrets plus a raft of documentaries and behind-the-scenes specials featuring interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

Coinciding with the majority of half-term school holidays in the UK (and running over Halloween) Sky Movies Harry Potter begins a year of HP celebrations early as 2016 sees the first theatre production and the fifteenth anniversary of the first film release. In addition, all the Potter films will be available on demand as a collection with Sky Movies for the whole year.
