You may remember that a few months ago an official Doctor Who Lego set was announced, complete with a range of monsters, Doctors and companions – well now we’re getting out very first look at what the blocky adventures will look like through a sneak peek at the Doctor’s ride.

Landing soon…

That’s right, we’ve finally got to see the Lego incarnation of the Doctor’s Tardis – and while we can’t confirm it’ll actually be bigger on the inside (those plastic blocks are pretty thick), it certainly looks the part. All the Doctor’s Lego enemies must be bricking it.

The concept for a Doctor Who set came a few months ago from the Lego Ideas website, where fans can submit suggestions for a set and vote for their favourite idea to be produced. Various sets have gone through the site but none have come to fruition until a concept from fan Andrew Clark (see below) received the 10,000 votes requisite for The Lego Group to consider it for production.

Now, it’s only a matter of time (and space) until we’re all able to buy the pieces and build our own Tardises – and we’re pretty sure that makes us all Time Lords, right?
