8. Doctor Who’s obvious Classic era references (Various episodes)
There is, of course, more to Doctor Who than the modern era. It’s a show with a rich 50 years of history and material that the show isn’t necessarily a slave to but does acknowledge now and again with its most famous iconography and catchphrases.
“I don’t like it,” a reference to Patrick Troughton’s famous line from The Three Doctors
“Would you like a jelly baby?”
A nifty reference to a line originally said by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart upon the regeneration of the Fourth Doctor
And countless references to the Fourth Doctor’s scarf
