EastEnders stars Danny Dyer and Natalie Cassidy will join executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins to delve into the secrets of Albert Square at this year’s inaugural Radio Times Festival.
In a session chaired by Gaby Roslin, Treadwell-Collins will explain why working on the soap was his childhood dream, Dyer – aka Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter – will provide behind-the-scenes insights into filming, while Cassidy, who plays Sonia Fowler, will share her experiences of growing up in Walford.
The BBC1 soap has had a strong few years under the leadership of Treadwell-Collins who introduced the Carter clan to Albert Square and spearheaded the mammoth live week centred around the murder of Lucy Beale, which marked the show’s 30th anniversary in February and earned it the Best Soap accolade at this year’s British Soap Awards.
The Radio Times Festival runs between 24th and 27th September at Hampton Court Palace and features stars of TV, radio and beyond. Tickets can be purchased for individual events with VIP tickets available for each day.
