The internet isn’t at all excited about Bake Off series six

This year's amateur bakers have been revealed overnight, but Bake Off fans? Well, they just don't seem that bothered...

The Great British Bake Off’s sixth series is only days away and the 12 contestants, who will be risking soggy bottoms, disappointing bakes and Paul Hollywood’s icy criticism, have been unveiled overnight.

They will make their debut in the famous Bake Off tent on Wednesday 5th August, giving us just over a week to get to know our new pals before the series returns on BBC1. Though, it appears Bake Off fans haven’t even noticed…

They’ve got no idea that Paul, Mary and a dozen potential soggy bottoms will be back on TV screens next Wednesday…

No idea at all.

They definitely haven’t got the day marked in their diaries…

They haven’t been waiting all year for this moment.

And they’re certainly not over-using emojis to express their excitement:

None of that whatsoever…

They are absolutely not watching any Bake Off back episodes they can get their hands on…

Or reminiscing about the reasons they love the show:

To conclude, they just couldn’t care less.
