Ghostbusters director Paul Feig has just revealed the names of all the characters in the upcoming all-female reboot.
Proving that all you really need to do is be nice and polite when you ask, Feig responded to a fan who requested a little more information about the film, which stars Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
On Friday Feig had already divulged that McKinnon will be playing Holtzmann and eagle-eyed fans have spotted small bits of lettering on the ladies’ outfits while filming that suggests McCarthy will be Yates, Wiig will be Gilbert and Jones will play Tolan.
The 1984 original’s line-up saw the characters – played by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson – dubbed Dr Peter Venkman, Dr Raymond Stantz, Dr Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddmore. If the new names are a play on these, we’ve yet to spot the pattern, but do let us know if you have.
Feig has certainly been keeping eager fans happy with his recent tweets, sharing images of the new-look uniform and the proton pack. So, what else can we ask nicely for? A sneak-peek trailer perhaps?
The film is slated for a July 22nd 2016 release.
