If you have been following either Hayley Atwell or Clark Gregg on Twitter, then you may be aware that they’re at war. For the Agent Carter and Agents of Shield stars have spent the last week or so engaging in a lip-sync battle via the app Dubsmash, which allows users to make short selfie videos dubbed with famous sounds.

It’s been a long, hard fight; one that started with this…

And then escalated to the horrors of this…

Consider the mic DROPPED. @realhayleyatwell #dubsmashwar2015 @clarkgregg

But now it’s over in the most Marvel way possible – Captain America saved the day.

Yep, #TeamCarter enlisted the help of Chris Evans to drop the mic on the whole thing once and for all. Opening with Queen’s Another One Bites the Dust, we see Atwell and her Agent Carter co-star James D’arcy holding a Captain America poster with the note, “To Coulson – Lots of love – Steve,” a reference to Clark Gregg’s character Agent Coulson, who idolises Cap in the first Avengers film. But lo! Atwell and D’Arcy then rip it in half to reveal Evans, all dressed up – shield and all – as the superhero. As far as burns go, it’s the nuclear option.

Gregg hasn’t retaliated, suggesting V Day over at #TeamCarter. Look, they even celebrated…

Peggy Carter and Captain America reunited again – in the year 2015.
