Paul Danan is returning to Love Island

The former Hollyoaks actor and original Love Island contestant will be giving Caroline Flack his verdict on the remaining housemates in tonight's live instalment

Brace yourselves, Love Islanders: Paul Danan is back. The former Hollyoaks actor is returning to his one-time stomping ground in tonight’s live episode.

Danan and Love Island go somewhat hand in hand. From fiery arguments to security having to step in, Danan certainly kept things lively when he appeared in both the first and second series back in 2005 and 2006. But Hannah, Jon and co can relax, he’s not heading to the villa to stir up trouble. Danan will be hanging out with Caroline Flack instead and giving his verdict on the remaining housemates.

His return follows in the footsteps of fellow former Love Islander Calum Best. But while Best took the boys for a night out earlier in the series, Danan will be the first celeb to take part in the live shows. He’ll make his appearance alongside TOWIE’s Ferne McCann and Strictly couple Ola and James Jordan.

One person who’ll be particularly pleased by Danan’s arrival on the island is the show’s host Caroline Flack. “I want Danan to be here,” Flack told back at the beginning of the series. “Pop out of the hot tub every now and again. That would be great.”

Love Island continues tonight at 10:00pm on ITV2
