MINIONS ★★★

The little yellow fellows from Despicable Me get their own highly enjoyable origins story, as we see them in the service of villainous Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock).

SLOW WEST ★★★★

Marvellous, off-beat western starring Michael Fassbender as a mysterious gunslinger who offers to help Kodi Smit-McPhee track his girlfriend and her father across country.

GOING CLEAR: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE PRISON OF BELIEF ★★★

This documentary about the controversial “religion” offers a good introduction to the topic, but lacks any real insight into the secretive organisation.

THE OVERNIGHT ★★★

Adam Scott and Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling play a married couple in LA who spend an eye-opening evening with another couple after their kids become friends, in a light but amusing, Judd Apatow-style comedy.

KNOCK KNOCK ★★
