Wimbledon 2015: London’s top outdoor screens to watch the tennis

Missed out on tickets and don't want to queue? There are other ways to watch the tennis outdoors...

Grab your mates, get some strawberries and cream and head to London’s open spaces to watch the biggest event in the tennis calendar this summer. 


1. Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross
In the centre of London, on Handyside St near the busy train station and trendy St Martin’s College, tennis fans will find a large green space with a giant screen showing Wimbledon 2015. Here, students, businessmen and commuters congregate together to catch a glimpse of the action. It’s a lovely little spot to pause in between the hustle and bustle. Nearest tube: King’s Cross

2. Westfield, Stratford

When you’re fed up with shopping, head outside to the Chestnut Plaza where you’ll find a tennis pitstop among the restaurants and eateries. Last year the atmosphere and screen quality was superb. There’s also an outside bar, fake grass and deckchairs to help you relax, while watching some of the tensest sporting moments of the year. 3. Cardinal Place, Victoria

Showing matches throughout the course of Wimbledon, the grassy area in this busy south London hub will provide deck chairs and bean bags for tennis fans. Plus, some blankets, so you can wrap up of an evening. The screen will also be open on the final weekend. Come on Murray! Nearest tube: Victoria

4. Lyric Square, King’s Street, Hammersmith


Full of shoppers, lunch breakers and families on the school run, this is always a good spot to enjoy some live action on an outdoor screen. The deckchairs will be out for the duration of the tournament. Once the tennis has finished, the Tour de France will make its way onto the screen too. Nearest tube: Hammersmith
