James May and Richard Hammond present their final ever Top Gear – without Jeremy Clarkson

New pictures offer a sneak-peek of the final 75-minute special featuring the three presenters, due to broadcast on Sunday 28th June

Something is missing from the studio shots of the Top Gear special set to broadcast on Sunday 28th June, but we can’t quite put our finger on it…

New pictures from the final ever Top Gear featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have been released. They confirm that while Clarkson will feature in the pre-recorded segments (taken from two films shot before he was dropped as a presenter), he won’t appear in the studio with Hammond and May.

The images feature the three presenters pushing and racing classic cars (a Fiat 124 Spider, an MG MGB GT and a Peugeot 304 Cabriolet), before hopping into 4x4s towing beat-up caravans.

Back in the studio, Hammond and May are seen speaking directly to camera – without Jeremy Clarkson. The 75-minute special will air on 28th June at 8pm on BBC2. See all the photos and the teaser trailer from the show below.
